How do you know when to break up with someone?

i've been dating this guy for a year and four months. we've been planning on going to college together and all that jazz, but lately i'm not sure if i still want him in my life.


we're on a break now, and i do miss him, but how do i know if it's because i love him or because he's become such a big part of my life?How do you know when to break up with someone?
It's time to break up with someone when u can picture your life without them and your okay with that. If your staying with him out of habit or because it's easier it's definitely time to break things off. Plus, it's much kinder to break up as soon as you know you should. Don't drag it out or try to pick a ';right time';, this just leads the person on.How do you know when to break up with someone?
If youre no longer happy then let him go. You have the right to be curious and if your curiousity is very strong, then you should go to college single. you can always get back together if you both feel the need, but it would be better to go single and get back together than to go together and one of you meets someone else.

you just know...like if everything he does wrecks your head, or if you start to feel like overwhelmed by him and you need space! a year and four months is a long time, maybe you should break up properly and if you dont regret it within like 2weeks its not meant to be.? hope it turns out okay xx
